Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said at a press conference in Beijing on Wednesday that his country is concerned about the potential for increased tension in the region due to the Israeli attack.

He expressed his country's strongest condemnation of the Israeli attack, which "constitutes a violation of a state's territorial integrity and national security."

He stressed that "violence will not bring peace to the Middle East," and that the main way to resolve the crisis in the region is "dialogue and negotiation."

For its part, the Russian Foreign Ministry also announced its strong condemnation of the Israeli attack on Qatar.

This came in a statement from the ministry, which explained that the attack constitutes a "flagrant violation" of international law and the United Nations Charter.

She stressed that Moscow believes that "Israel's violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of an independent state is nothing but a step toward further escalation and instability in the Middle East."

She stressed that "the Israeli attack on Qatar, which plays a pivotal role in the indirect negotiations with Hamas, is nothing but an attempt to undermine international efforts for a peaceful solution."

On Tuesday, Qatar announced that Israel had launched a "cowardly attack targeting the residential headquarters of several members of Hamas's political bureau in Doha."

The Israeli occupation army quickly announced in a statement that it had attacked the "Hamas leadership" in Doha, using its air force, in cooperation with the General Security Service (Shabak).

Meanwhile, Hamas announced that its negotiating delegation, led by its head in Gaza, Khalil al-Hayya, survived the assassination attempt. The death toll included the head of Hamas's office, Jihad Labad, his son, Humam al-Hayya, and three bodyguards: Abdullah Abdul Wahid, Moamen Hassouna, and Ahmed al-Mamluk. Qatari security officer Badr al-Humaidi was also killed in the attack.
