The Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, reported that the occupation forces closed major checkpoints, including Beit Iksa, Mazmuriya, Qalandia, Sheikh Saad, Al-Nafaq, 300, and Al-Issawiya, leading to a near-total paralysis of civilian movement.
She noted that thousands of vehicles were lined up in long queues amid rigorous inspections and scrutinized IDs, in a scene she described as "collective punishment" against Palestinians.
This escalation continues for the third consecutive day, following Monday's shooting attack, which resulted in the deaths of six settlers and the wounding of 30 others, according to Hebrew media.
Israeli forces also raided the Kafr Aqab neighborhood and Qalandia refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, and closed the road between Jerusalem and Ramallah. During the raids, they searched shops and imposed heavy fines on their owners, according to the WAFA news agency.
Palestinian youths confronted the occupation forces with stones, while soldiers responded by firing live and rubber bullets, tear gas, and sound bombs, resulting in numerous cases of suffocation.
In the town of Biddu, northwest of Jerusalem, similar clashes erupted, including the excessive use of live ammunition and tear gas, the agency reported.

"collective punishment policy"
For its part, the Jerusalem Governorate confirmed that the occupation army has been carrying out escalatory measures in the northwest of the city for three days. It explained that occupation forces demolished a wall in the town of Qatana, issued demolition notices for the Biddu Municipality Park, and dozens of homes and facilities in Al-Qubayba, in addition to conducting a large-scale raid campaign.
The governorate said in a statement that what is happening is a "collective punishment policy" targeting approximately 70,000 Palestinians, and is part of a "plan to undermine the Palestinian presence in the occupied capital and its surroundings."
The governorate called on the international community and human rights organizations to intervene immediately to stop these violations and hold the occupation accountable for its crimes against Palestinians.
