Indonesian mixed doubles badminton players Adnan Maulana and Indah Cahya Sari Jamil have advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2025 Hong Kong Open.
In the last 16 match which took place at the Hong Kong Colliseum, Hong Kong, Thursday, Adnan/Indah overcame the resistance of the Thai doubles pair Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Supissara Paewsampran through a three-game drama, 21-17, 18-21, 21-13.
According to Indah, the key to today's victory was the smooth implementation of short ball attacks to the near post and difficult for the opponent to anticipate.
"Thank God, we won the match and we're really happy. We played short balls and focused on targeting the women's positions," Indah said.
