After the movement's delegation was targeted in Doha, the Israeli Chief of Staff vowed to attack Hamas leaders "everywhere."

The Israeli occupation army said in a statement that Zamir held a meeting with army commanders at the Southern Command headquarters to discuss developments in Operation Gideon 2, which aims to seize control of Gaza City.

During the meeting, Zamir claimed that the Israeli army was advancing toward "the next stages of toppling Hamas rule," stressing that Israel's goal was to "liberate the hostages" alongside "ending the movement's rule."

"As I said before, we will attack them and pursue them everywhere, in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) and elsewhere, as we did over the past 24 hours," he continued.

The most notable action carried out by the Israeli occupation army during those hours was the targeting of the Hamas negotiating delegation in Doha, an attack that sparked widespread regional and international condemnation.
