Agrarian titles are delivered to residents of San Quintín

 San Quintín, September 23.- Residents of San Quintín received the first 120 agrarian titles , with the intention of building an independent municipality and providing them with legal certainty of their property , said Alejandro Ruiz Uribe, Sole Federal Delegate of Baja California.

Accompanied by members of the San Quintín Founding Council and federal agrarian authorities, Alejandro Ruiz Uribe told those present that this event is extremely important because it will help initiate prosperous and orderly growth.

The beneficiaries of the agrarian titles come from the following ejidos: Lázaro Cárdenas del Río, Ejido Rubén Jaramillo, Héroes de Chapultepec, Chapala, Valle Tranquilo, and Capricornio.

"Now, it's up to you, with your property tax payments, to strengthen your nascent municipality, so that you can improve preventive security services, public lighting, paving, and garbage collection, to name a few. It's the municipality that largely meets the daily demands of the people," emphasized the sole federal delegate in Baja California.

Authorities noted that San Quintín has the potential to become an important commercial municipality in the state, boasting agricultural, fishing, livestock, and tourism resources, as well as a direct connection to the transpeninsular highway network.

The event was attended by: Pablo Armenta Castro, representative of the National Agrarian Registry in Baja California (RAN) , Ricardo Cárdenas Gutiérrez, representative of the Agrarian Attorney General's Office in Baja California (PA) , and Jorge Alberto López Peralta, president of the San Quintín Founding Municipal Council.

Also present were Enrique Manuel Cunningham Santana, representative of the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial, and Urban Development (SEDATU) in Baja California; Celeste Gómez, Councilwoman of the Finance and Cadastre Administration Commission; and Ezequiel Gutiérrez, Regional Deputy Delegate for Welfare in Ensenada.
