The Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday, " We condemn the Israeli attack on the Hamas negotiating delegation in Doha," and that "targeting the Hamas negotiating delegation during ceasefire negotiations demonstrates that Israel does not aim to achieve peace, but rather to perpetuate the war."
The Turkish Foreign Ministry added in the statement, "With this attack, Qatar, which mediated the ceasefire negotiations, has been added to the list of countries targeted by Israel in the region. This is clear evidence of Israel's expansionist policies in the region and its adoption of terrorism as a state policy."
The Turkish Foreign Ministry also affirmed Turkey's "support for Qatar against this despicable attack targeting its sovereignty and security. We renew our call for the international community to pressure Israel to halt its ongoing aggression against Palestine and the region."
In an unprecedented move, Israel targeted Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital, Doha, in an airstrike, the results of which were not immediately officially revealed.

Israel quickly claimed responsibility for the attack, which targeted a meeting discussing US President Donald Trump's proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.
The Israeli occupation army called the attack "Peak of Fire," according to an army statement.
Israel's Channel 12 reported that the attack "targeted the head of Hamas's negotiating delegation, Khalil al-Hayya, political bureau member Zaher Jabarin, and Hamas's official abroad, Khaled Meshaal."
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving 64,605 Palestinians martyred, 163,319 wounded, most of them children and women, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has killed 399 Palestinians, including 140 children.
