Antonio Vera Palestina, Hank Rhon's security chief, dies.

Tijuana, December 28. Antonio Vera Palestina, who was serving a 25-year sentence for the murder of journalist Héctor "El Gato" Félix Miranda, died on December 28, according to Grupo Caliente, where he worked as head of security. Former Mayor Jorge Hank Rhon signed the obituary.

Vera Palestina was released in May 2015 and has since rejoined the security force of Grupo Caliente, owned by Hank Rhon.

In April 1988, he was accused of murdering Félix Miranda, co-founder and columnist for Semanario Zeta, and since then, the media outlet directed by Jesús Blancornelas has identified him as the perpetrator of the homicide.

That year, he was arrested along with Victoriano Medina Moreno, who was also released in 2015 and has always maintained his innocence against the charges.
