West Jakarta replants hundreds of plants in Semanan

The West Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Sub-agency again planted trees and ornamental plants, totaling 215 trees on Jalan Dharma Permata RW 12 Taman Semanan Indah (TSI), Semanan, Kalideres.

The Head of the West Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Sub-Department , Dirja Kusuma in Jakarta, said that the planting was carried out on land belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government measuring approximately 400 square meters (m2).

"We planted 215 trees, consisting of 15 pink tabebuya trees and 200 ornamental plants. Tabebuya trees have many benefits. Besides helping absorb air pollution, they can also prevent erosion," said Dirja.

The 2-3 meter tall tabebuya trees were planted with a spacing of about 4-5 meters between each tree. Meanwhile, 200 ornamental plants, such as the bone-bearing plant, were planted around the garden.

"For maintenance, we assigned a number of PJLPs to water the trees so they can grow and develop," he said.

Previously, the West Jakarta Forestry Sub-Department (Sudin) had planted 183,676 ornamental plants and 322 shade trees from January to August 2025.

Planting was carried out on DKI Provincial Government assets in the West Jakarta area, such as parks, road medians, green belts, Public Cemeteries (TPU), city forests and Green Open Spaces (RTH).
