Apple is reportedly building an artificial intelligence (AI)-based search platform as part of its efforts to strengthen its foothold in the global AI competition.

According to sources cited in the report, the search platform, which is internally called World Knowledge Answers, could also be added to the Safari web browser as well as the Spotlight search feature on the iPhone.
The new search tool will likely be part of Siri launching next spring.
