Berlian Bank Jateng men's volleyball team defeated Singo Yudha West Kutai with a score of 3-1 (23-25, 31-29, 25-20, 25-19) in the 2025 Livoli Main Division match at the Nambo Sports Hall, Tangerang, Banten.
The victory was the second of three matches played by Berlian Bank Jateng to open up the opportunity for the team from Semarang, Central Java to qualify for the final four.
In the first match, Berlian Bank Jateng suffered a 0-3 defeat from LavAni Navy, however, bounced back in the second match by scoring a landslide victory of 3-0 over DPUPR Rafabinar Semen Grobogan.
Berlian Bank Jateng coach Arif Kusliyanto said he was pleased with his team's performance, which was able to maintain the momentum of their comeback after losing in the first match.
"The children's game continues to develop," said Arif after the match.
Berlian still has two matches remaining in pool A against Sukun Badak which are scheduled for Friday (12/9) and Perumda Tirta Bhagasasi Bekasi on Saturday (13/9).
If Doni Haryono and his friends can achieve just one victory in these two matches, they can secure their position from the threat of relegation, while strengthening their chances of reaching the final four and advancing to the final pool A.
Meanwhile, Singo Yudha's defeat was their second in three matches. Previously, Nizar Julfikar and his teammates suffered a 0-3 defeat to Perumda Tirta Bhagasasi Bekasi. Their only victory came against Sukun Badak, which ended 3-2.
Singo Yudha will face two remaining matches, namely against DPUPR Rafabinar and finally challenging the defending champion LavAni Navy.
Singo Yudha coach M. Ramli hopes his team can perform at their best in the next two matches to avoid relegation. "The players' performance has declined significantly, especially in receiving and blocking errors ," he said.
