Barcelona received bad news after their 3-1 Copa del Rey victory over Real Oviedo on Friday, with two key players, Raphinha and goalkeeper Joan Garcia, set to be sidelined for around three weeks due to injury.
In an official club statement, Barcelona confirmed that Raphinha suffered a hamstring injury to the biceps femoris muscle in his right thigh.
"He is expected to be out for around three weeks," Barcelona said in a statement on the club's official website on Friday. Joan Garcia, meanwhile, has suffered a more serious injury.
"Joan Garcia has a torn medial meniscus in his left knee. On Saturday, he will undergo an arthroscopic procedure performed by Dr. Joan Carles Monllau. He is expected to be out for approximately 4–6 weeks, depending on his recovery," the statement continued.
