Tijuana, June 30.- State Governor Jaime Bonilla Valdez publicly denounced Federico Díaz Gallego, a Mexicali businessman and one of the co-owners of Industrias Zahori, a company responsible for environmental pollution, for “water theft.”
"It belongs to a person who boasts of being a responsible businessman, yet there have been countless complaints against his company, about him polluting, and he cares little for the community," the state leader said.
Federico Díaz Gallego's company "Inmobiliaria y Constructora Flecha" owes $1,519,061.04 pesos for unaccounted-for water, connecting to a direct intake, which apparently represents a construction expansion. Therefore, the state administration will file a formal complaint for water theft.
The head of the Executive branch referred to the Mexicali businessman as a "repeat Aguachicolero" and emphasized that he is a friend of former Governor Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, which is why he was "favored" during the previous state administration.
