The Regional Disaster Management Agency of West Coast Regency, Lampung Province, stated that six sub-districts were inundated by floodwaters with water levels reaching up to three meters.
Head of the West Coast BPBD, Imam Habibbudin, when contacted from South Lampung said the flood occurred due to quite high rainfall which caused the rivers in the area to overflow.
"Based on preliminary data collected by the field team, eight sub-districts and villages from six districts were affected," he said.
