Doha, November 28. Carlos Henrique Casemiro scored near the end of the match, securing Brazil's place in the round of 16 of the World Cup after defeating Switzerland 1-0 in today's Group G match.
Casemiro gave Brazil the lead in the 83rd minute when his shot eluded Manuel Akanji after receiving a pass from Rodrygo Silva de Goes.
Brazil has now won its last nine matches and will advance to the round of 16 of the World Cup regardless of the result of its final group stage game on Friday against Cameroon.
Switzerland must defeat Serbia next Friday, December 2, to secure its place in the next round of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
