China launches latest group of remote sensing satellites





 China launched a new group of remote sensing satellites from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in northern China's Shanxi Province.

The Yaogan-40 03 satellite cluster was launched at 12:34 a.m. Beijing Time on Sunday, or 11:34 p.m. Western Indonesian Time on Saturday (September 6th), using a modified Long March-6 carrier rocket and successfully entered its planned orbit.

The satellite cluster will be used for electromagnetic environment detection and various related technical tests.

This launch marks the 593rd flight mission for a Long March carrier rocket.
