The Director General of Digital Infrastructure at the Ministry of Communication and Digital, Wayan Toni Supriyanto, emphasized that cooperation between the government and industry players is key to accelerating national internet access in Indonesia.
"The internet isn't just for big cities, but a right for all people from Sabang to Merauke. With this collaboration, we want to ensure that every citizen can be connected," Wayan said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.
This enthusiasm, he said, has been demonstrated through the launch of the Nusantara Lima Satellite, a national product ready to reach remote areas that are difficult to connect to with fiber optic networks.
It is hoped that this spirit will be maintained throughout all digital infrastructure development in Indonesia and will be key to closing the digital divide. Therefore, in commemorating the 80th Bhakti Postel Day on Sunday (September 14th), the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs adopted the theme "Collaboration for Equitable Connectivity."
