Tijuana, December 13.- A leak in a Pemex pipeline caused a spill of thousands of liters of diesel in the community of El Arbolito, located in the eastern part of Tijuana, according to reports from the fire department.
The discovery was recorded around 7:30 a.m. this Monday in an area that houses poultry farms, prompting a special operation involving members of the Hazardous Materials Unit of the state-owned company, the state, and the municipality.
Due to the contamination it caused to the ecosystem, the Tijuana City Council will request an investigation and hold the alleged perpetrators accountable.
During the operations, a ranch and a home housing four adults and two minors were evacuated.
