The East Kalimantan Provincial Government's annual exhibition, Kaltim Expo 2025, recorded transactions of up to Rp7 billion, involving hundreds of booths from government agencies, companies, and local MSMEs.
"Thank God, we were able to attend this exhibition for five days in good health. The event ran smoothly, was full of enthusiasm, and certainly provided significant benefits to the community," said East Kalimantan Deputy Governor Seno Aji in Samarinda on Sunday.
The Deputy Governor assessed the Rp7 billion achievement as a positive sign for the development of MSMEs in East Kalimantan. However, he emphasized that this achievement should not lead to complacency. Next year, the target must be raised.
"If this year's figure is Rp7 billion, God willing, next year it should double to Rp14 billion. This target is realistic, as our MSMEs are becoming more innovative, our products are more diverse, and community support continues to grow," said Seno.
He added that the East Kalimantan Expo is not just a trade exhibition, but also a space for business actors to move up a class.
"Some are participating in the exhibition for the first time, while others have been participating annually. Everyone has an equal opportunity to showcase their potential. This is proof that East Kalimantan has a strong people's economy that should not be underestimated," said Seno Aji.
Seno Aji emphasized that this annual exhibition should be seen as a beginning, not an end. He cited the exhibition's success in fostering new economic values.
"This exhibition has seen many MSMEs gain new buyers, some products have penetrated beyond the region, and some have even attracted attention for the national market. This means the expo is not merely a ceremonial event, but a real platform for the people's economy. Rest assured, this closing is not the end, but rather a positive beginning for East Kalimantan. It's the beginning of MSMEs' advancement, the beginning of the people's economy, and the beginning of East Kalimantan's golden generation," said Seno.
He hopes that next year will not only have a larger number of booths, but will also be richer in innovation and benefits.
