Mexicali, December 4. Enrique Romo Valle formally registered with the leadership of the National Action Party (PAN) as a candidate for mayor of Mexicali for the Fuerza y Corazón por México coalition.
The self-proclaimed citizen appeared at the PAN State Steering Committee facilities, where he was received by Rosario Rodríguez, the political institute's general secretary.
"It is with great satisfaction that I submitted my application today to be included in the candidate selection process to coordinate the work of the Fuerza y Corazón por México Coalition for the municipality of Mexicali," he stated.
Romo had recently announced his intention to participate in the electoral process on behalf of the PAN-PRI-PRD coalition as a citizen, despite having been an active member of the National Action Party until 1999, when he retired from politics.
