According to sources in the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Minister Fidan spoke of two urgent Israeli threats: the first, the genocide in Gaza and Israel's efforts to annex the West Bank and forcibly displace Palestinians; and the second, Israel's expansionism and destabilization strategy that threatens the security and stability of the entire region.
In his remarks during the meeting, he said, "Under Netanyahu's regime, Israel has become a rogue party, blinded by dreams of 'Greater Israel,' and we must take a common stand."
He continued, "We must continue our joint efforts to halt all international arms and ammunition shipments to Israel, and strengthen the legal battlefield by ensuring that proceedings at the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court become tools to end impunity."
He called for capitalizing on the recent momentum toward recognizing the State of Palestine and ensuring full membership for the Palestinian state in the United Nations.
Regarding the Syrian issue, Fidan stated that "Syria's stability is inseparable from the stability of our broader region," emphasizing that halting Israel's crimes in Syria is of utmost importance. He explained that "the area in which our Syrian brothers and sisters will particularly need the support of OIC members is the issue of reconstruction."
He called on all sister member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to support the inherent rights of Turkish Cypriot Muslims and engage directly with them, adding that "the Cyprus issue and the situation of the Turkish Muslim minority in Western Thrace are two fundamental pillars of our foreign policy."
He pointed out that "in Greece, the Turkish Muslim minority in Western Thrace and the Turkish Muslim population in the Dodecanese Islands continue to face serious violations that prevent them from enjoying even their most basic rights and freedoms."
He concluded by saying, "Islamophobia is on the rise. Racist acts targeting Muslim communities continue. We must demonstrate a unified response to these issues."
