Week four of the 2025/2026 French League season is scheduled to begin providing an opportunity for Indonesian national team defender Calvin Verdonk to make his debut with his new club, Lille.
Quoted from the official Ligue 1 website in Jakarta, Friday, Verdonk has the opportunity to record his first appearance in a Lille uniform when facing Toulouse at the Pierre-Mauroy Stadium, Villeneuve-d'Ascq.
Verdonk was brought to Lille from NEC Nijmegen on the 2025/2026 summer transfer deadline, and coach Bruno Genesio could field the 28-year-old in the starting lineup or from the bench.
If Verdonk makes his Lille debut, he will become the first Indonesian player in history to play in the top flight of the French League.
