Governments must recognize that we live in the "most dangerous city in the world": Bonilla

Tijuana, March 16.- During his tour of the Casas Beta overpass in Cañadas del Florido, Jaime Bonilla Valdez, Labor Party candidate for reelection to the Senate of the Republic, stated that governments must recognize that “we live in a city rated as the most dangerous in the world… that parents are afraid to see their children leave their homes and are worried that they may not see them return.”

"They're even afraid to go out at night because there's no street lighting and no police surveillance; they don't see a patrol patrolling their neighborhoods," he added.

The former governor was accompanied by Bibi Gutiérrez, the PT candidate for the seat in the IX Federal District, which includes Tecate, Tijuana, and Rosarito.

"A politician who wants to do their job well doesn't need much... just go to the neighborhoods in each municipality, as we're doing in our tours, and listen to the people... They promised to return and haven't kept their promise, which is why citizens tell us they're fed up and disappointed," commented Senator Bonilla Valdez, also the National Political Commissioner of the PT.
