Harry Kane shocked by Daniel Levy's decision to leave Tottenham

Former Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane expressed his surprise at Daniel Levy's decision to step down as the club's executive chairman after 24 years at the helm.

Kane believes Levy leaves a huge legacy that has transformed Spurs, despite the club not winning the Premier League title since 1961.

"I didn't expect it, I really didn't see it coming," Kane told British media ahead of England's World Cup qualifier in Serbia, as quoted by The Independent on Tuesday.

"Daniel was a fantastic chairman for about 20 years there. If you look at where the club was then and where it is now, the changes have been huge, not just on the pitch but off it too," said the Bayern Munich striker, who left Spurs in 2023.
