In the Hajj quota case, the Corruption Eradication Committee is still counting the money handed over by Khalid Basalamah.

The Corruption Eradication Commission revealed that it is still calculating the amount of money handed over by preacher and owner of the Hajj travel agency PT Zahra Oto Mandiri or Uhud Tour Khalid Zeed Abdullah Basalamah in connection with the Hajj quota corruption case because the process of returning the money is being carried out in stages.

"How much money is there? So, it's still being calculated because the repayment will be done in stages," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK's Red and White Building in Jakarta on Tuesday.

When asked about the refund system related to the alleged corruption case in the determination of quotas and the organization of the Hajj pilgrimage at the Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2023–2024, whether it would be done by transfer to the KPK's holding account or in cash, Budi said he would check first.

"We will later check the details regarding the refund because the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has an escrow account to hold confiscated items during a legal proceeding that will be needed as evidence in this case. There are also cash refunds from the relevant parties," he explained.

Then when asked about the time of return made by Khalid Basalamah, Budi also said he would check first.

"We'll check to see when the funds will be returned. We'll definitely provide detailed information when we provide or announce updates on the progress of the investigation, including the names of those named as suspects," he said.
