Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) has asked the Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) holding oil and gas exploration concessions in Aceh to accelerate exploitation if they have confirmed the discovery of oil and gas reserves.
"For exploration KKKS that have discovered reserves, immediately carry out the further exploitation process, don't play with stocks yet," said Chairman of Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Bambang Patijaya, in Banda Aceh, Thursday.
This statement was delivered by Bambang Patijaya after carrying out a working visit to Commission XII which oversees the energy, mineral resources, environment, and investment sectors and a meeting with KKKS in the area of authority of the Aceh Oil and Gas Management Agency (BPMA), at the BPMA office, Banda Aceh.
He emphasized that the Indonesian and Aceh governments need oil and gas production today so that national oil and gas lifting and the desired targets can be achieved.
