Pertamina opens up economic tourism opportunities in West Java through "Dewi Surga"

Pertamina, through Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ), is opening up economic tourism opportunities in Cirebon, West Java, by inaugurating the Suranenggala or Dewi Surga Tourism Village area.

"This inauguration is a concrete step in efforts to preserve the coastal environment, as well as driving the economy of the surrounding community," said Head of Communication Relations & CID PHE ONWJ R. Ery Ridwan in an official statement received in Jakarta, Thursday.

Ery said that the ecotourism area is a manifestation of Pertamina's commitment to maintaining environmental sustainability and community empowerment.

The Dewi Surga area, which combines environmental conservation and educational tourism, is located on a 7-hectare plot of land.

The area consists of mangrove forests with paths that visitors can use for leisurely walks and selfies.

"PHE ONWJ believes that environmental sustainability and public welfare must go hand in hand," said Ery.

He added that the Dewi Surga mangrove forest not only serves as a protector of the coastal ecosystem, but is also expected to be a source of education and income for local residents.

The success of this program, he said, was the result of collaboration from various parties.

Meanwhile, Cirebon Regent H. Imron Rosyadi welcomed the initiative. He appreciated the collaboration with Pertamina, as it presents new economic opportunities for the local community.
