PT Karya Citra Nusantara stated that the concrete sea wall in Cilincing, North Jakarta, is not related to the sea fence made of bamboo like in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area which has been in the public spotlight.
"So, if we look closely, this project certainly has nothing to do with the old bamboo embankment, which people are now often confused about, whether this is part of the bamboo embankment that used to be popular in PIK. No!" said PT Karya Citra Nusantara (KCN) President Director Widodo Setiadi in a press conference clarifying the concrete embankment in the Cilincing waters, Marunda, North Jakarta, on Friday.
Widodo explained that the concrete embankment was part of the port construction that was under construction, so it had nothing to do with the bamboo sea fence that had been widely discussed by the public, such as in the PIK waters area, Tangerang, Banten.
He said many people are still confused and believe the concrete embankment project in Cilincing is part of the bamboo sea fence in the Pantai Indah Kapuk area. He denied this.
In fact, the concrete embankment in Cilincing is quite far from the PIK waters area, where the bamboo fence once existed. The concrete embankment constructed by KCN is located on the final border.
"The location is also far between PIK and this (Cilincing sea area). This is the final boundary of North Jakarta. After this is the BKT (East Flood Canal)," he said.
