Lebanon national team coach Miodrag Radulovic said his team would be unlikely to adopt an attacking style of play when facing hosts Indonesia in the FIFA Match Day match at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya.
Radulovic opted for a defensive approach with a 5-3-2 formation, and this approach yielded positive results for Lebanon, holding Indonesia to a 0-0 draw.
"Because we played a good tactical system against them. We tried to attack, but it was impossible. Furthermore, our physical preparation wasn't good. But this match will help us boost our confidence," said the Montenegrin coach in a press conference at GBT Stadium on Monday.
Lebanon only recorded 19 percent possession and four shots on goal, one of which was on target and was saved by goalkeeper Emil Audero.
Radulovic said he was satisfied with his players' performance. This was Lebanon's second positive result after their 1-0 victory over Qatar.
