damage to three highway bridges in the city has been assessed, the Mexicali City Council lacks the resources to repair them.
The Director of Public Works, Alberto Ibarra Ojeda, said that the repair work on the three bridges has a total cost of 750 million pesos .
"One of them would cost 200 million, a second 250 million, and another up to 300 million," he explained.
The municipal official said they would be seeking extraordinary federal funds to address the damage.
The official said the bridges suffered significant damage , although none were close to collapse.
"The most damaged is the railway, we will continue to manage resources," he said.
They have already spoken with federal deputies, he indicated, in order to obtain extraordinary resources.
