Tijuana, August 4.- This morning, the federal government inaugurated the General Hospital of Tuxtepec, Oaxaca, the first of two hospitals built with funds obtained from the sale of the presidential plane during the previous administration. The investment totaled 2.3 billion pesos and will benefit more than one million people living in 109 municipalities in Oaxaca and Veracruz.

The ceremony was broadcast during the morning press conference at the National Palace. The director of IMSS Bienestar, Alejandro Svarch, reported that services in 19 medical specialties will be offered, for which 46 specialist physicians have already been hired, and 12 more will be added soon.

The new hospital has 150 beds, 25 consulting rooms, and three fully equipped operating rooms. It will also have two ambulances, the official said.

Governor Salomón Jara emphasized that the project represents a fulfilled commitment and an example of the government's decision to prioritize the well-being of the population.

Jara recalled that another hospital is being built in Guerrero with funds from the sale of the plane, which was purchased during Felipe Calderón's administration and used by former President Enrique Peña Nieto.
