Arsenal received positive news ahead of their visit to Newcastle United's headquarters in the Premier League.
Coach Mikel Arteta confirmed that team captain Martin Odegaard is likely to be able to return to play.
"Martin will train with us in the next two days. So hopefully he'll be available for the game," Arteta said, as quoted on the club's official website on Friday.
Odegaard had previously missed the last three matches due to a shoulder injury. His presence is considered crucial in helping Arsenal, who are currently in second place in the table, close the five-point gap to leaders Liverpool.
