Persiraja Banda Aceh confirmed its readiness to use the video assistant referee (VAR) in the first match of the 2025/2026 Pegadaian Championship against Adhyaksa, at the H Dimurthala Stadium, Banda Aceh.
"The VAR installation was completed some time ago at the Persiraja home ground," said Persiraja Secretary General Rahmat Djailani in Banda Aceh on Friday.
Rahmat emphasized that no significant issues were encountered during the technology installation process and everything went smoothly. Everything is ready to be operational for tomorrow's first match.
"Thank God, there are no problems with the current condition of the stadium, which also has a special room for VAR," said Rahmat.
As is known, the I-League has officially declared the competition, formerly known as Liga 2 Indonesia, a Championship, and is now the first second-tier league in Asia to implement VAR fully throughout the season.
