The General Chairman of the Indonesian Mixed Martial Arts Association (Pertacami) Tommy Paulus Hermawan was elected President of the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) at the 2025 GAMMA General Assembly in Bali.
Tommy won the election after all 58 delegates present voted to support him as President of GAMMA until 2028, succeeding Alex Engelhardt.
"With the reforms passed today and the unity of all members, GAMMA is entering a new era. I am honored by the trust placed in me and determined to continue the journey toward global recognition and athlete empowerment," said Tommy Paulus Hermawan in his post-election remarks.
He mentioned two priority things that will be worked on during his leadership, namely strengthening the legitimacy of mixed martial arts (MMA) as a sport recognized by the International Olympic Committee or IOC, through governance, safeguarding , and alignment with Olympic values.
