Tijuana, July 23.- José Fernando Sánchez González, director of the State Institute for Interdisciplinary Research and Training, reported that activities at the police academy were suspended on Tuesday, as three of the 179 cadets tested positive for the coronavirus.
“When we returned on Monday of this week, the number of young people showing symptoms was increasing, so we sent them for testing. We immediately notified the Ministry of Health to do us the favor of conducting a physical inspection of the facilities and reviewing the protocols we have established regarding health measures. They would review everything related to the facilities and understand in detail what was starting to happen to us.”
There are 16 positive cases so far.
So far, 16 people have tested positive for Covid-19, including 14 cadets and two teachers. The facility is closed for 14 days to prevent further infections.
"They are doing well and stable, with no complications. We are monitoring them to determine their health status."
