The 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), gave the name "Wijaya Krida" to the Pacitan Stadium and Sports Arena (GOR) which since its inauguration in 2013 has not had an official name.
The determination of the name was marked by a thanksgiving event at the Pacitan Stadium complex, Sidoharjo Village, Pacitan District/Regency, East Java, Friday.
Pacitan Regent Indrata Nur Bayuaji said the name "Wijaya Krida" was chosen directly by SBY, who is also a native of Pacitan.
