Sheinbaum will discuss reforms against genetically modified corn with working groups.

Querétaro, Querétaro.  To enhance the constitutional reform bill banning the planting of genetically modified corn, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo revealed that she has asked the Congress of the Union to establish working groups to analyze these changes.

"We asked Congress, through the Legal Counsel (of the federal Executive Branch), to create working groups. There are people who have participated in the "No Corn, No Country" movement who would like to see the reform we submitted strengthened."

He said these discussions will involve the secretaries of state involved in the legislation, which proposes reforming Articles 4 and 27 of the Constitution and also contemplates promoting agroecological techniques.
