Tijuana, September 1. President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo highlighted the reduction in intentional homicides recorded in Baja California in recent months and mentioned various Baja California projects as part of her First Annual Report, which she delivered on September 1, almost a year after taking office as head of the Executive Branch.
At the ceremony, held at the National Palace, he stated that as part of the strengthening of the Security and Justice Strategy—which includes the following pillars: addressing cases, consolidating the National Guard, strengthening investigative and coordination capabilities among all levels of government—intentional homicide has decreased by 25 percent, and in Baja California, the decrease was 36 percent.
"So there is no doubt, the Peacebuilding policy is sovereignly decided in Mexico; no one influences it, only our honesty, conviction, and certainty that we humanists know how to govern with perseverance and strategy and deliver results," he asserted, mentioning that in July "22 fewer homicides were committed every day than in September 2024."
