The durability of the iPhone Air smartphone is reportedly almost equal to the iPhone 17 Pro based on the results of an evaluation conducted by the warranty extension and electronic device protection service company Allstate Protection Plans .
According to a GSM Arena report on Friday (26/9), the company conducted several drop and bend tests to assess how the new design affects the device's durability and provide an idea of what might happen in everyday use.
In a bend test, the iPhone 17 Pro was able to withstand more than 90 kg of pressure and the iPhone Air bent at 86 kg of pressure despite being only 5.6 mm thick.
Both devices remained functional after being bent, and testers said this was more than necessary for everyday use. These test results demonstrate that the iPhone Air's titanium frame is quite sturdy.
