Mexicali, November 1. As part of a planning plan in the Urban Control area, the Mexicali City Council intends to regulate billboards in the city.
The Director of Urban Administration, Daniel Valenzuela Alcocer, said there are nearly 100 billboards with permits, but there could be up to 200 that do not meet the requirements of the municipal government.
He mentioned that, of those detected, only 50 percent are up to date with their permits, so they will seek to regularize them.
He acknowledged that there are many billboards that do not meet Civil Protection specifications , so they will be working on that issue to prevent any eventualities.
The municipal official emphasized that they are seeking to strengthen the issue of improving the urban image by seeking to change some regulations that are already obsolete.
"We are reviewing municipal regulations to foster a better urban image for the city and the Mexicali Valley," he added.
