Trump speaks of an opportunity to achieve "great accomplishments" in the Middle East, and the King of Jordan confirms consensus on the Gaza plan.

Trump did not provide details about his announcement, which came days after he said he was close to reaching an agreement to end the war in Gaza.

Trump added in a post on the Truth Social platform: "We have a real opportunity to achieve great things in the Middle East. Everyone is ready for something special. Something we will achieve for the first time ever."

US administration officials reported that Trump will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tomorrow, Monday, at the White House, with the aim of reaching a framework for an agreement.

"Great agreement"

For his part, Jordanian King Abdullah said on Sunday that Jordan is "working in coordination with its Arab brothers and partners on the details of the comprehensive plan for Gaza that President Trump presented to Arab and Muslim leaders," stressing that it has achieved a high degree of consensus.

The Jordanian News Agency reported that King Abdullah pointed to "the great rapprochement with Arab and Muslim leaders and the convergence of views with friendly countries on developments in the region, particularly the Palestinian issue and the situation in Gaza, noting the international consensus on the two-state solution as the only way to achieve peace in the region."

Trump said on Friday that there were intensive talks on Gaza with Middle Eastern countries, and that both Israel and Hamas were aware of the discussions, which he said would continue as long as needed.

It's worth noting that Trump recently presented a 21-point plan aimed at ending the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving 66,005 martyrs and 168,162 wounded, most of them children and women, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 442 Palestinians, including 147 children.
