"The cause of blindness (due to uveitis) is around 20-25 percent. So, that's a global prevalence , so the percentage is around that," said the doctor, known as Vani, during a discussion on retinal disorders and uveitis in Jakarta on Wednesday.
This doctor, a graduate of the University of Indonesia, said that the diagnosis of uveitis cases is still low due to a lack of patient awareness of red eyes, which are often considered trivial or a common eye problem.
