Mexicali, July 21.- Representative Manuel Guerrero Luna recently addressed all sectors of Baja California society, urging them to raise awareness of their duty to show solidarity with the families of children and young people with disabilities.
He emphasized that the State Executive Branch has been wise to coordinate efforts, support, and budgets with the social and private sectors to provide much-needed care for children with disabilities, not only in urban areas but also in rural areas such as the Mexicali Valley.
She added that, in the fight to defend the human rights of children and adolescents, Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda has arranged, through an agreement between the Baja California government and the Teletón Foundation, for an extension of guidance and support, especially for low-income families, to the Ejido Puebla de Mexicali Health Center, where children with health problems such as disabilities, cancer, and autism will be treated.
In this way, he mentioned that comprehensive care will be provided to promote their full development and inclusion in society, through the combined professional, material, and budgetary efforts of the aforementioned agreement.
In his statement on this issue, he emphasized that his commitment, as a citizen and as a servant of the people, is to join in and contribute his part in this task, which will surely benefit children in rural Mexicali.
