MotoGP racer Alex Marquez considers Indonesia one of the biggest markets for the world's most prestigious motorcycle racing event and he hopes the number of races in the country can increase from one to two or even three series in the future.
"Our fan base in Indonesia is huge and it was great to experience the incredible atmosphere created by the fans in Lombok," said Alex Marquez in an interview in Jakarta on Tuesday, ahead of the Indonesian Grand Prix at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
Alex added that the massive presence of Indonesian fans, including on social media, is a strong reason for MotoGP to consider more series in the country.
