Persita Tangerang coach Carlos Pena said he was satisfied with his team's performance when they destroyed PSIM Yogyakarta in the ninth week of the BRI Super League at the Indomilk Arena Stadium, Tangerang, Friday.
Quoted from a recording received by ANTARA on Friday, Pena explained that the key to his team's success in winning against PSIM was Persita's solid performance.
"I think we played very well for 90 minutes, and we could have scored in the first half. We know PSIM is a good team with the ball and has quality players," said Pena.
"We defended compactly and suffered a bit. They had a few chances, but we defended well, and in the second half after 70 minutes, we managed to kill the game through transition. So congratulations to my players," he continued.
