Serge Vittoz, legal advisor to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), said FIFA will announce the decision on the appeal filed by the federation on October 30, 2025.
"The decision was issued by FIFA on September 26. On October 14, within the specified deadline, we filed an appeal," Vittoz was quoted as saying by Malaysian media on Friday.
"We learned today that the decision will be issued on October 30 by the (FIFA) Appeals Committee. The decision will be taken on October 30 and will most likely be communicated to the parties on the same day or a few days later," Vittoz continued.
Vittoz said that if the FAM and the players involved still find the FIFA sanctions too harsh, they can appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which will take time to resolve.
