Fourth seed Novak Djokovic is preparing for his round of 16 match at the Shanghai Masters on Tuesday, while third seed Alexander Zverev was stopped at the ATP Masters 1000 event after losing in the third round on Monday (6/10).
Djokovic will meet Spain's Jaume Munar, who reached the fourth round of the ATP Masters 1000 hardcourt event for the first time in his career, according to ATP records.
Unlike Djokovic, Zverev had his dreams dashed when he lost to Arthur Rinderknech 6-4, 3-6, 2-6.
The Frenchman defeated the world number 3 in five sets at Wimbledon, and defeated the 28-year-old again with a brilliant performance at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Shanghai.
After losing the opening set, Rinderknech won 24 of 29 points at the net in the second and third sets and looked fresher in the decider, while Zverev continually faltered between points.
Rinderknech has a career-best 23 wins in 2025 and is reaching the fourth round of an ATP Masters 1000 event for the third time.
The 30-year-old, who is 3-18 against Top 10 players, reached that stage in Toronto and Paris last season.
