FGI plans to hold long-term training to boost performance

The general chair of the Indonesian Gymnastics Federation (FGI), Ita Juliati, outlined her plan to hold long-term national training to boost the achievements of Indonesian gymnasts.

As a Southeast Asian country, Indonesia has not been able to qualify its athletes to the All-around finals at the 2025 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. However, neighboring countries, such as the Philippines through Carlos Yulo and Amanda Yap from Singapore, managed to reach the finals.

"So, we don't want to do it again. We went to Japan for a month and a half, Russia for a month, and so on. So, we want it to be a long-term, total commitment," Ita said when met after the closing ceremony of the 2025 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships at the Indonesia Arena.
