The Indonesia Game Developer Exchange (IGDX), which brings together hundreds of local game developers with international publishers, investors, and media outlets, has recorded potential global business partnerships worth US$75 million since its inaugural event in 2021.
Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid said, this year, IGDX carries the theme " Accelerating Southeast Asia's Creative Power " which reflects the spirit of cross-country collaboration and the drive to strengthen Indonesia's position as a center of growth for the gaming industry in Southeast Asia.
"Today, we are not only holding a conference, but also reaffirming our shared belief that Indonesia and Southeast Asia have become the new hub of global creative and digital innovation," said Meutya at the IGDX Conference 2025 in Badung, Bali, on Saturday.
IGDX 2025, which took place from October 9-11, 2025, also featured exhibitions of works by local game developers, digital creative industry players, communities, universities, and partners from friendly countries. Furthermore, various discussion forums and business sessions were held to strengthen connections between national and global industry players.
From 2021 to 2024, the IGDX program has facilitated more than 3,500 business meetings between local developers and global industry partners.
A series of programs such as IGDX Bootcamp, IGDX Academy, IGDX Career, IGDX Business, and IGDX Conference serve as learning platforms, collaboration platforms, and bridges for young Indonesian creators to develop innovations that can penetrate the global market.
"IGDX is building a complete ecosystem that involves all game industry players from various backgrounds," said Meutya.
