Indonesia's mixed doubles team is out of the running for the 2025 French Open

Indonesia's mixed doubles squad's progress at the 2025 BWF World Tour Super 750 French Open has been officially halted after Jafar Hidayatullah and Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu were eliminated in the round of 16.

The young pair were unable to break through the dominance of third seeded Thai pair Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Supissara Paewsampran and had to admit defeat with a score of 19-21, 17-21 in the match at Glaz Arena, Cesson-Sevigné, France, on Thursday.

From the start of the first game, Jafar/Felisha tried to play aggressively to match their opponent's fast tempo. The score was tied at 4-4, but the Thai pair began to widen the gap, leading 10-5. Supissara dominated at the net, controlling the game with quick strikes that made things difficult for the Indonesian pair.

Felisha managed to narrow the deficit to 8-11 with accurate ball placement, but Dechapol/Supissara pulled away again to 14-8.

Jafar/Felisha continued to fight with fast drives and briefly narrowed the gap to 19-20. Unfortunately, Supissara's powerful close-range smash sealed the first game with a victory for Thailand.

In the second game, Jafar/Felisha fell behind 1-7 early on, before slowly recovering with more patient play and closing the gap to 9-10. They even managed to equalize, but Felisha's shot went wide, leaving the Indonesian pair trailing by halftime.
