The Ministry of Communication and Digital emphasized the importance of collaboration between social media and mainstream media to build a credible information ecosystem.
The Director General of Public Communication and Media (KPM) of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Fifi Aleyda Yahya, in a statement received in Jakarta on Friday, emphasized that the speed of information should not sacrifice accuracy.
"Social media offers speed and immediacy, while mainstream media offers depth and credibility. If these two strengths are combined, we can create an information ecosystem that's both popular and trusted," said Fifi.
He also added that in an era where everyone can be a messenger, the responsibility for ethics and accuracy is even greater.
